An Aeromexico Boeing 737-800, registration XA-PPP performing flight AM-190 from Mexico City to Mexicali (Mexico), was climbing out of Mexico City when the crew stopped the climb at about 17,500 feet due to problems with the pressurization systems. The crew decided to return to Mexico City for a safe landing on runway 05R about 35 minutes after departure.

The airline reported the failure of the pressurization systems.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration N958AM reached Mexicali with a delay of about 3 hours.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 24 hours after landing.
