How to install a Clinsert
In this video tutorial, we demonstrate the simplicity and efficiency of utilizing the broaching tool to pre-broach holes in tough materials. This innovative tool is designed to tackle challenging applications with ease, making it an essential addition to your machining toolkit.
Why use a broaching tool?
- Hard materials with hardness greater than 30 HRC or 300 Vickers it is necessary to pre-broach the slots for the Clins. The first step is to mark the position of the Clins on the parent material. To do this, wind the Clinserts in until the Clins touch the surface of the parent material.
- Perfect installation: Because the holes for the clinsert are already prepared for the clins on the clinsert it is almost impossible to bend the clins when using a installation tool. This makes installing clinserts a breeze.
- Resisteel option: We have made a upgraded version of these tools, the Resisteel® Broaching tools / blades. These tools are very tough and can last up to 50x longer then the regular version of these tools. You can learn more here: resisteel.eu
