A Corendon Airlines Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration TC-MKE performing flight XC-9317 from Ufa (Russia) to Antalya (Turkey) with 160 people on board, was enroute at FL340 entering Turkish Airspace when the crew informed ATC about the failure of the right hand engine (LEAP). The aircraft drifted down to about FL210 and diverted to Kayseri (Turkey) for a safe landing on runway 25 about one hour after leaving FL340.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Kayseri about 40 hours after landing.
