An EBB Air Embraer EMB-120, registration 5Y-EBB performing a flight from Nairobi to Mandera (Kenya) with 32 passengers and 4 crew, landed on Mandera's runway however veered off the runway and came to a stop in bushes and the airport perimeter fence. All occupants disembarked safely, there were no injuries.

Kenya's Airport Authority reported: "Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) confirms that an aircraft operating a domestic flight from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) was involved in a runway excursion incident at Mandera Airstrip this morning. The aircraft, carrying 32 passengers and 4 crew members, veered off the runway during landing at approximately 0910 hours local time and came to a stop at the airstrip's perimeter fence. Passengers and crew were safely evacuated, and appropriate ground support was immediately provided. There were no injuries reported to the passengers or crew."

Mandera Airport features an asphalted runway 05/23 of 3600 feet/1100 meters length.
