An Endeavor Canadair CRJ-700 on behalf of Delta Airlines, registration N354CA performing flight DL-5304 from Montgomery,AL to Atlanta,GA (USA) with 64 passengers and 4 crew, was landing on Atlanta's runway 27L when the aircraft initiated a go around, however, the aircraft suffered wing tip strikes. The aircraft climbed out to safety at 3000 feet, positioned for another approach to runway 27L and landed without further incident about 15 minutes later.
The FAA reported: "AIRCRAFT WINGS STRUCK THE GROUND WHILE ATTEMPTING A GO-AROUND, ATLANTA, GA."
The aircraft is still on the ground about 27 hours after landing.
On Mar 4th 2026 the NTSB reported, they have opened a class 4 investigation into the incident, no preliminary report will be released. The aircraft sustained minor damage.
