An Air France Airbus A320-200, registration F-HBNJ performing flight AF-4236 from Paris Orly to Ajaccio (France), was descending through FL200 towards Ajaccio when the aircraft encountered severe turbulence causing injuries on board. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 20 about 13 minutes later.

The French BEA reported the aircraft entered an area of severe turbulence, 5 people on board received serious injuries. The occurrence was rated an accident and is being investigated.
