An Air France Airbus A350-900, registration F-HTYB performing flight AF-436 from Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) to Bogota (Colombia), was enroute at FL370 about 80nm south of Brest (France) when the crew decided to divert to Brest due to an unusual odour in the cockpit.
The airline reported an unusual odour in the cockpit prompted the diversion to Brest. The passengers were returned to Paris and travelled to Bogota the following day.
A replacement A350-900 registration F-HTYM reached Bogota with a delay of about 21 hours.
The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Brest for about 26 hours, then positioned back to Paris Charles de Gaulle and returned to service after about 18 hours on the ground in Paris.
