A LIAT Air Embraer ERJ-145, registration V2-LHA performing flight 5L-770 from Georgetown (Guyana) to Antigua (Antigua) with 47 people on board, was climbing out of Georgetown's runway 06 when the crew stopped the climb at about FL230 reporting an engine related technical issue. The aircraft returned to Georgetown for a safe landing about one hour after departure.

Local Authorities reported the pilot informed ATC they would return to Georgetown due to an engine related issue.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Georgetown on Sep 25th 2026.
