A LOT Polish Airlines Embraer ERJ-190, registration SP-LMC performing flight LO-135 from Warsaw (Poland) to Istanbul (Turkey), was climbing out of Warsaw's runway 29 when the crew stopped the climb at FL120 following a lightning strike and decided to return to Warsaw. The aircraft entered a hold and landed safely on runway 33 about one hour after departure.

The airline reported a lightning strike, the aircraft burned off fuel with the landing gear extended.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Warsaw about 25 hours after landing.
