An Egypt Air Airbus A330-200, registration SU-GCI performing flight MS-664 from Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) to Cairo (Egypt), was climbing out of Jeddah's runway 34C when the crew received an EGPWS "Terrain! Terrain! Pull Up!" warning, followed by a loud bang and vibrations. The crew returned to Jeddah for a landing on runway 34L without further incident and taxied to the apron.

Saudi Arabia's NTSC reported the aircraft sustained unknown damage and opened an investigation.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Jeddah on Sep 4th 2026.
