A Sindbard Air Embraer EMB-120, registration 5H-HLL performing a flight from Seronera to Zanzibar (Tanzania) with 26 passengers and 4 crew, struck and killed a zebra on departure from Seronera airstrip in the Serengeti National Park. The crew decided to divert to Kilimanjaro Airport, but were unable to lower the main landing gear. The aircraft ultimately landed main gear up on Kilimanjaro's runway 09. There were no injuries, the aircraft sustained substantial damage.
