A United Boeing 737-9 MAX, registration N27474 performing flight UA-1854 from George Town (Cayman Islands) to Houston Intercontinental,TX (USA) with 83 passengers and 6 crew, was on final approach to Houston's runway 08R when the crew reported the right hand main gear had not extended, went around and entered a hold. The aircraft performed a low approach to Houston's runway 08R before landing on runway 09 without further incident about 40 minutes after the first go around.

The aircraft departed for its next sector about 12 hours after landing.
