A LATAM Brasil Airbus A320-200N, registration PR-XBC performing flight LA-3146 from Sao Paulo Congonhas,SP to Porto Alegre,RS (Brazil) with 117 people on board, was descending towards Porto Alegre when the crew declared PAN PAN reporting the right hand engine (PW1127G) had been shut down. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 11.

The return flight was cancelled.

The aircraft returned to service about 23 hours after landing.
