An Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration N801AK performing flight AS-231 from Anchorage,AK to Kodiak,AK (USA), landed on Kodiak's runway 26 and was in the roll out, when three deer crossed the runway and were hit by the aircraft. The aircraft rolled out without further incident, however, received damage to the landing gear.
The return flight was cancelled. The aircraft is still on the ground in Kodiak about 26 hours after landing.
The FAA reported: "AIRCRAFT HIT DEER ON LANDING DAMAGING THE LANDING GEAR, ANCHORAGE, AK." and stated the damage was minor.
