A PSA Airlines Canadair CRJ-900 on behalf of American Airlines, registration N571NN performing flight AA-5501 from Washington National,DC to Albany,NY (USA), was climbing out of National's runway 01 when the crew stopped the climb at about 12000 feet due to problems with the cabin pressure and decided to divert to Washinton's Dulles Airport. The aircraft landed safely on Dulles' runway 01R about 45 minutes after departure.
The FAA reported: "PSA Airlines Flight 5501 safely landed at Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia around 4:35 p.m. local time Thursday, after the crew reported a pressurization issue. The Bombardier CRJ-900 departed from Reagan Washington National Airport and was travelling to Albany International Airport in New York. The FAA will investigate. "
