A KLM Cityhopper Embraer ERJ-195-E2, registration PH-NXZ performing flight KL-1172 from Stavanger (Norway) to Amsterdam (Netherlands), was climbing out of runway 18 when the crew reported the landing gear won't go up and levelled off at 5000 feet. The aircraft subsequently entered a hold at 6000 feet for troubleshooting and returned to Stavanger for a safe landing on runway 10 about 30 minutes after departure.

The aircraft attempted another departure about 4.5 hours after first departure, but needed to return again for the same problem.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Stavanger about 9 hours after second landing and about 13.5 hours after first landing.
