A Ryanair Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration EI-IJA performing flight FR-4109 from Alicante,SP (Spain) to Knock (Ireland), was descending towards Knock, when the crew stopped the descent at FL170 reporting a minor technical issue. Subsequently the crew requested to divert to Shannon for maintenance, advising they had a minor technical issue with engine (LEAP) anti-ice. The aircraft landed safely on Shannon's runway 24 about 20 minutes after stopping the descent at FL170.

The aircraft is currently estimated to continue the journey.
