A Transavia Boeing 737-800, registration PH-HBN performing flight HV-6493 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Agadir (Morocco), was enroute at FL390 about 110nm northnortheast of Casablanca (Morocco) when the crew diverted the aircraft to Casablanca. The aircraft landed safely on Casablanca's runway 35L about 45 minutes later.
Morocco's BEA reported the aircraft diverted to Casablanca due to an engine (CFM56) failure. The occurrence was rated a serious incident and is being investigated.
The aircraft remained in Casablanca until Jun 23rd 2026, then flew to Frankfurt Hahn (Germany) and is still on the ground at Hahn Airport on Jun 26th 2026.
