A United Boeing 737-800, registration N12216 performing flight UA-3877 (sched. dep Jun 29th, act Jun 30th) from Miami,FL to Chicago O'Hare,IL (USA), was climbing out of Miami's runway 08L when the crew stopped the climb at 7000 feet and decided to return to Miami due to the shutdown of the left hand engine (CFM56). The aircraft landed safely on Miami's runway 09 about 50 minutes after departure.

The flight was cancelled.

The aircraft is still on the ground about 12 hours after landing back.
